I would like to offer to help but cannot at this time. I have 3 decent Mods helping out at GFL but I have taken over approving new members myself only because I didn't want to add the work onto them.

 

I might see a break when my second job gets done with in a week or so, but if there is ever a emergency feel free to mod me up and I will keep it under control until you get back on the keyboard up again.

as for adding another mod.. I've ASKED the group.. (hmm.. twice now I believe) if one of the regulars would like to be made into a mod to help keep things streamlined

when myself or Todd's time runs low, and requested that people mail me off list.. Guess how many Emails I got?  Yep:   0.

and I will not just make anyone a Mod.. =)   besides, I've asked Proph and he polity said no.

Seriously tho, instead of opening the floodgates why not just make
Proph a Mod with no real abilities? Yahoo! Groups are famously stupid
for this one, you can boost someone up to Mod level and then basically
uncheck all their features. At that point they'd get a copy of anything
sent to the Owner's mailbox (groupname-owner@whatever) and be able
to do anything you set to Mods Only like that. The exception is setting
permissions and auto-send stuff out in the Files area and that, because
Yahoo! actually has a switch built-in for that you'd have unchecked.

That way the runts stay outta the mix and whoever you set up like that
can do what they've gotta do!
