OK,

I did it... <sniff> I swear it was just to lay down a series of clues for
my mentor Proph to follow and prove to all of you he's the g0d y'all
don't believe he is. But...

He's let me down. Me and all 3 of the other Cult members are now
totally disillusioned and currently we're in a crisis focus group to
rethink our existence and once we've grieved, then move on to now
make Alan our new Cult Leader. It'll take months of counselling,
thankfully we put stop payments on the last 15 checks to Proph to
help pay for the clinic fees... well OK one of them is going to a
different kind of clinic but that's a totally different story. We're on
24 hour suicide watch and they've let us out for 5 minutes to write
this e-mail then we're back in the padded room. They won't give us
private rooms (group insurance rate that Proph conned us into!)
so we all share one straitjacket. Kinda sucks, MC needs a really
long shower, but we're managing.

So onwards and upwards - all hail the new Alan M. Cult!

I see them. The funny thing is when I send a private message to the culprit I get the bounce message from RIM so it has to be him.

BUT! His direct email message is not being bounced as undeliverable.

It looks like he forwards his messages to his BlackBerry and those get bounced back.

The source email address is a Gmail account. I’m not going to out the person. That will be up to Pogo to do.

At the moment we are still receiving bounce messages from RIM/Captain Blake whenever we post to the group.

On my end performing 3 rounds of message checks and filtering I think we have found the source but we are still testing.

As soon as we can confirm our test results we will let you know and resolve the problem.

I think we found the Captain Blake source.

We are now testing the message system to see if the RIM bounce messages still occur.

Over the past week, we've had a chance to check out ION's premium Rock Band 2 drum set, the Drum Rocker (We've played it once before at E3 2008). We're waiting for a copy of RB2 for our final impressions; in the meantime, here are our initial thoughts of the set with the original Rock Band.

Our order arrived in two boxes weighing in at 33 lbs. and 6 lbs., respectively. The lighter box contained the third cymbal and colored discs to put on all three cymbals for differentiation.
Total time to unbox: 20 minutes (although, to be fair, we were taking a lot of pictures). That said, total time for set up (no camera usage) was close to an hour, with a large amount of time spent trying to screw in the cymbal clamps. Just another 2 or 3 mm on the screw length and we would've had a much easier time here.
Protip: Make sure you screw everything in very tight, or you'll be having to either pause the game to make fixes mid-song or learn to adjust to the added difficult of a drooping tom or cymbal. Even then, adjustments will have to be made to get the toms placed just right.

If you're going to attend the Penny Arcade Expo this weekend in Seattle, be sure to make time to stop by the Microsoft booth (Booth #412.) where I'll be doing demos of the new Xbox experience. I'll be bringing my dev kit and showing the latest build, and focusing on some of the previously announced features, like the guide, parties and more. Currently, I am scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at 10:30am and 3:30pm. The Gamerscoreblog has a post that shows the full schedule of activities in the booth, so there will be no shortage of things to see and do at the booth, in addition to the crazy PAX session schedule.

Rare has announced that the THQ-published Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise for the DS will be proliferating retail shelves with dirty puns on September 2 in North America and September 5 in UK and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) alongside the Xbox 360 sequel VP: Trouble in Paradise. The DS title will also "begin to filter through to the rest of the world on the 11th, with VP:TIP not far behind."
