RE: [Xbox] 360 & Vista

When I was studying for my MSCE for NT4 my instructor made a note of the OS.

When the OS is being developed by MS they are using a good assortment of hardware that has been pre-approved and on the compatibility list to run base drivers or technology like DirectX.   And the OS code is developed and tested with the most common up to date hardware at the time and then that’s it.  So with all the thousands of lines of code the code is pretty close to bug free BEFOFRE any other applications and non-standard or non-common hardware is installed.

So pretty much if you get a system and install the OS clean and maybe another application made by the same developers you should have a bug free system.

Add more software and different hardware then you’re probably adding too much salt to the soup…

lets be honest, have u ever called tech support and thought they know what they were talking about?  so why would a journalist thats reviewing something know anything else than how to write a story?

and to be clear, i have no problems with mac, *nix, or any OS plain and simple, i just know what works for me and what i need it for, and for my house, um, i'm not about to teach my wife to use linux, i have several pc's with dual boots for having fun with, and a mac at the office for testing websites.  i just get sick of everyone always blaming the OS for all their problems, when it's usually third party stuff thats causing the problem, not the OS (well, most the time LOL)
