[Xbox] Re: Fill the Force of The Wii

Unless the programmers have finally figured out how to make the sword
(lightsaber) on the screen actually follow what you are doing with
the nunchuck, I doubt it. I've played several of the sword games on
the Wii and have been unimpressed by the lack of accuracy. Most
games, moving the nunchuck just executes a canned attack move rather
than actually following your movements.

What I am hoping for is that the Xbox 360 version will use the right
thumbstick to let you control your sword arm separately from
character movement. One of the Lord of the Rings games did that and
it was fun to be able to control which way they swung the swords with
the thumb stick.

If Xbox wanted to really stick it to the Wii, they'd come out with
their own motion capturing controllers. I've seen knockoffs of Wii
game controllers for tennis where the tennis raquet controller motion
sensors and game all came together and hook into your TV. I don't
know how well they work, but if some knock-off company can do motion
sensing, I don't see why Xbox cant.

Xbox games with motion sensing that really worked well would knock
the Wii out of the competition completely. They already have better
graphics than the Wii.

I actually had a Wii that I got while workig at Circuit City
(employees got a early crack at them so we could experience them and
answer customers' questions better) but believe it or not, I kept it
for three months then sold it on ebay. Why? Because the motion
sensing controlls didn't work worth a crap in the majority of the
games. All it did was make something that wasn't too hard with a
thumbstick or buttons nearly impossible with the Wii remote. The
only good games they had were Marble Mania and Blue Angels. Maybe
they will have great games down the road and I'll get another Wii
when they are easier to find. Based on the reviews of independant
gaming magazines of recent Wii games, I kinda doubt it.
