You can try looking through the xbox.com forums. That's where I got most of my info when I was looking for an adapter for my kids' xbox last year. I had a couple of older USB adapters sitting around, but neither worked. I just ended up buying the MS 360 one.

game adapter as to what had to be tweaked on it to make it fly, so hearing
that someone's managed to use off-the-shelf stuff has me really curious!
Since the only real plug-in is the Ethernet on the back (or would USB
work, anyone try that yet?) what adapters are out there that'd plug into
that port? Are we talking access points or full-out like router/hubs that
are just turned into access points instead of being used all the way? I
have a pile of all of the above, it's older 802.11b stuff but if I found the way
to make'm fly right then it'd be worth buying the cheaper models vs. the
MS and Linksys stuff!
