Burnout 2 and 3 courses WITH added multiple routes.
The beauty of Revenge was that taking the shortcuts wasn't a guaranteed win if
you couldn't navigate them very well, which there only seems to be an elite
few who can.
What I liked was things like the airport (even if they were short courses) and
the highway courses.
Anyway how DOES Paradise work online? I just can't imagine as offline the
races can be damn annoying when you miss a turn and have no chance of making
it to the finish line on time. The fun I found on Revenge was even if I
totally messed up you could have fun trying to take the nearest person out,
or even you might get lapped and so you could try taking people out. Neither
of those things would work in Paradise, based on offline mode, because you
end up taking a route different to everyone else and no laps.
Also its so easy to get turned around and end up heading the wrong way, which
the game then doesn't bother to tell you where to go then unless you notice
on the compass.
They are just different game-play mechanics whereas 2,3,Revenge were just an
evolution of the same mechanics. Can't really speak for 1 as I only played
it briefly out of curiosity and thought it was terrible - but then after 2,3
and Revenge it WOULD seem awful as its near impossible to enjoy 2 after
playing 3, same goes for playing 3 after Revenge, IMO.
