The fact that you need double the free space just to install the OS is plain silly. It should always be the installers choice if they want to cram the OS on a small partition where it will leave little space for applications. I for one install all my games on a second partition and none of my applications take a great deal of space. So I can comfortably install XP on a fairly small partition, something Vista refuses to let me do. The drive itself wasn't small, but I didn't have enough space to dedicate to Vista as much as XP had. You think its unreasonable to want to TEST an OS for compatibility before overwriting my XP partition with it? Alex.
