i personally don't take offense to it, but i will say, if my son was playing online and saw that, i would be pissed. 

it's practically impossible to offend me personally, but my family is another story and i will not tolerate it

Taking offense is a personal issue regardless of faith or religion.  If Proph finds it offensive he can report it as he wishes.  If he presents his case to MS and they agree they should take action.

it is offensive whether i believe in god or not.  gamertags should not make fun of religion, or am i wrong about that?
