It does make you wonder what is up with Microsoft though. They keep going on
about how they change the 360 software to improve it but whats with the
hardware?
Like you said, the D-Pad still sucks the same. Also, I don't know if you ever
used one of the new wired headsets (the ones like what come with the chatpad)
but they are shit. They are much too quiet compared to the original 360
ones, you can't hear what the other person is saying.
So while the software is getting better and better the hardware seems
questionable. Even the additional heatsink in the 360 has been said to not
fix the 3 red light problem, just delays it. Likewise I think adding the
ability to copy DVDs to the HD is to prolong the life of the shitty DVD-ROM
drives so they fail out of warranty. Sure it could be to make 2-3 DVD games
more plausible although I read a supposed developer moaning that Microsoft
make it quite expensive for a game to be published with more than a single
disk, which would knock that theory on the head.
