The saddest part is that there are actually people out there watching that and thinking it is actual footage from IraQ or somewhere. They are probably all in tears about how the bodies are thrown in the air on direct hits, LOL...

PS. That was one of the easiest missions in the whole COD4 campaign, but I loved it every time the radio guy said KA BOOM....

I've received some incredible footage for Iraq but this is something else. It is amazing how they can take out the bad guys witout taking our guys out at night........The little bastards WERE like mice running around..... Enjoy

When you hear the media's talk of war deaths from "friendly fire," or rage, or pure murder, you have to remember that war is not the one-on-one shootouts depicted in movies and TV. War is hell, ambushes, and often being overrun and out numbered. This video shows the close air support provided by a USAF AC-130 supporting the extraction of a small group of commandos. Modern technology helps identify the good guys from the bad guys, but you can see how quickly the decisions have to be made. You will see several RPGs fired at the good guys only to have the person launching the RPG being sent to see his 72 virgins. I pass this on so that you can better appreciate the environment that our soldiers are subjected to. Were our members of congress and our senate personally involved with this the way our troops are I think that the troop support votes would be a lot different...

AC-130U Specter Gunship built by Lockheed, flown and operated by the USAF 16th Special Operations Squadron, Hurlburt Field , FL. Their motto . "you can run but you'll only die tired."

and at this point I can say that I'm enjoying this game better than
Final Fantasy X or XII.

What I don't like about LO is that Kaim and Jansen just look so gay!
At least they're not as gay as FFXII's Vaan.

Microsoft should really invest on Mistwalker to produce new games and
at the same time make Lost Odyssey a continuing series, much like
Square-Enix continuing Final Fantasy.

Speaking of Square-Enix, the company's having trouble which big game
to release this year: Dragon Quest 9 or Final Fantasy XIII. They
don't want both games to conflict with each other, and a 2008 release
for DQ9 would mean a 2009 release for FFXIII.

For those of you who are still supporting the Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter then you'll be glad to know that a set of eight new achievements totaling an additional 125 Gamerscore have been added to GRAW2. Funny thing about that is can't unlock them yet.

The list of eight new achievements come straight from the bowels of Xbox.com and correspond to various GRAW2 co-op mission completions as well as killing tasks on any "GRAW 2: CC map". But know that these achievements are not the same ones released with last year's GRAW2 Co-Op Collection DLC, these are freshly new and totally unannounced co-op missions. So, that means only one thing to us: more DLC. We expect these new achievements to correspond to another round of paid (or free) GRAW2 DLC that will be making its way to the XBLM soon'ish. You are on alert.

[Xbox] Lost achievements...

The achievements in "Lost" are just silly. I typed the letter "B" on a computer and got 100 points...

Good thing though, I'm in an Old Spice challenge and this game may just make me the winner of a $20 gift card.

[Xbox] SouthPeak announces anime slasher X-Blades

Earlier this morning, SouthPeak Games announced that it's bringing X-Blades, a third person anime hack and slash, to the Xbox 360 later this year. And from the press release (viewable after the break) it sounds like X-Blades is some sort of anime gone wild, death and destruction fest of magical enchanted'ness. That's the best way we can describe it. Analyze the press release and analyze the "blade-swinging bombshell" Ayumi in the three screenshots below. Anyone feeling the X-Blades?

Ok, this time they've had it for 5 business days and one week
overall. That's fine, still not 'late' really but their status site has
said nowadays that it's 'up to 2 business days to repair or replace'.

5 business days - I got nada. And as someone else recently
mentioned, I've had my eyes peeled but this time but not a single
e-mail from MS anywhere along the way like in the past with the
same status update information? That's just weird.

But why put 2 business days and then (since I doubt anything
happens today) drag it out longer? Why not simply say '5-10'
like in the past and surprise me? Now it's getting aggravating
because they specify 2 business days before it gets shipped out.

So we sit and wait...

Anyone around Dallas/McLaren, TX wanna go over and kick
the warehouse door for me? <Grin>

You may remember last week when we told you about the chock-full feature patch that would be hitting Call of Duty 4 sometime in the near future. Well, friends: The future is now. ... At least, it is for Xbox 360 owners. We're assuming PlayStation 3 players will be getting it soon if they haven't already, we just haven't had a chance to test yet.

In case you missed the post (for shame!) expect host migration (even when a host drops teams stay together), better accuracy for snipers and ACOG scope users, an expanded Kill Cam that includes claymores, airstrikes and grenades, nine new spawn points on each map, quick mute and some other tweaks. ... Well, what are you waiting for? Go play already!

Here's an interesting offer for the gamers that are thinking of joining the Live community. Microsoft is sending word of a promo that entitles new registrants to their 12-month Xbox Live Gold membership package to a free copy of Live Arcade's Catan title.

As a recap, this title from Big Huge Games is an online version of the Settlers of Catan board game originally created by Klaus Teuber. Microsoft's promo covers any registrations made since last February 25, and will end on March 25. Just don't go thinking you'll be getting your Catan copy immediately after you sign up, though - the promo's fine print indicates that your game will arrive six to eight weeks after you register.

On the bright side, the extra MS points this freebie frees up should give you ample opportunity to sample the other titles up for grabs on Xbox Live. Full details on this promo are available via the source link.

Pimping their new television show to the "youngins", The History Channel is offering free gamer picture and theme downloads for their latest docu-reality show Ax Men. Sadly though, Ax Men isn't about assassins running around New York City on a mission to kill, it's about the people involved in the logging industry. A very dangerous industry. The free downloads are available to U.S. Live subscribers and rate pretty low on the coolness scale. But they're free and we've never, ever been against free goodies. Ax Men premieres March 9th on The History Channel, Ax Men downloads premiere on the XBLM right now. Please be careful when downloading.

[Xbox] Duo of Two Worlds DLC packs coming

We've got to hand it to SouthPeak, which is releasing two (count 'em) two DLC packs for the (by most accounts) truly bad Two Worlds. That's a crazy, Bridge on the River Kwai level of dedication that we can't even begin to comprehend.

If you're the sort that's interested (and please, please comment if you are) the packs will each add about 10 hours of gameplay with new multiplayer maps,new co-op quests and new player-versus-player challenges. Both will be 600 points, one pack is coming in March and one is coming in April. We trust most of you will be able to bear the wait just fine. Also, just so we're clear, we don't know if these DLC packs represent the expansion we heard about, or if both of you still have more to look forward to after April.
