Actually it can be exploited in all modes of the game, not just Versus.
We found it during Terrorist Hunts.

Subject: [Xbox] R6V2 Bug
I’m not sure if this is occurring across all platforms but I think I found a bug on the Xbox 360. It’s not a major bug but it can be exploited in Versus games.
I’m hoping someone can confirm this is a bug across the other platforms and maybe even a bug in general.
If you’re wearing the thermal goggles and an enemy/adversary throws a flash-bang grenade it will not phase you. You will hear the explosion and you will hear the high pitch ring in your ears but you will still have full thermal vision and control. Basically no flash-bang blindness will occur.
So if you see someone throw a grenade or hear one drop you can quickly enable the thermal goggles as a secondary precaution in case it was a flash-bang. Of course if it’s an incendiary or a frag you’re not going to be happy…
I did not report this to Ubi yet, I’m about too though…
Let me know if someone can verify this…
