[Xbox] My Burnout Paradise Tips...

If anyone is interested I found a few things that help in Paradise…  If you’re not interested or want to figure it out yourself then quickly hit delete or ignore this message…

In single player mode the one of the points of the game is to earn your license upgrades and get to better vehicles in the process.  In order to get license upgrades you have to win events (obviously).

Once you get past your learners permit and get your D class license, cruise around the map and not start any or too many events (if you can avoid the boredom of just cruising), and get to each stop light and check the events and log the events onto your map.  I could be wrong about this but I don’t think you have to participate in the event for it to be logged onto your map.

Once you get a good portion of your map exposed for the events you can then select to filter out the events by type.  So go back to your map view and you can then select to only show the icons for all of the Road Rage events, or the Race events, or Marked Man, Burning Routes and Stunt runs.  Go back to your Junkyard and select your favorite or best vehicle for one type of event and then clear them all at once.  For example, filter out the events to show all the Road Rage points, go to your Junk Yard and get your best vehicle for the job and race them all at one time before switching vehicle.  This way you get to use a vehicle you’re really really familiar with, you’re using the best tool for the job, you minimize the trips back to the Junk Yard switching cars and you may get your license upgrades before you get to the next type of event.  The only type of event this practice will not work too well with are the burning routes, because each burning route event requires a different car so you’ll have to go back to the Junk Yard and switch cars for each one… but I’d imagine the routes are difficult enough that to get the top score you would need to repeat the race several times.

I’d like to give you my favorite vehicles for the types of events I’ve encountered but that might be too much of a cheat.  I found for one type within a Class D license it’s so good it seems like a bug…

And there are other things like the e-brake… use it often but use it wisely at the same time… some cars have a strong e-brake that it might be better to just hit the regular brake and hope for the best…

Not sure how many of you guys are playing, but I’d be interested in your take on my suggestion… is it crap?  Does it help?  Did you know this already?

I hope it helps someone either way… but not give too much away too…
