Ah,
why can't Halo 3 be for a casual gamer? Granted that's all some people play, it's still one of the titles I would suggest for a Pick up and Play. The matchmaking works decently well, even though some have second accounts.

I don't play but maybe once or twice a week, for an hour or two, and I usually rank in the top 5 of every match.

Try it out, never know what you'll be good at. Learn a bit about each map, and about frag usage, and jumping while being shot, all good tatics when you know how to apply them.
