figure out buttons so what are we poor air-conditioned Americans
supposed to do? Logic says ya, quit screwing with what doesn't
work and use what does, but apparently we're not logical.
But I mean he even left out the part where he's tried one of the
HDTV cables and it works AOK, but just not that resolution with
the VGA cable. Or, that neither works and maybe it's a junk TV
as we've seen some manufacturers kick out. Samsung's got all
kinda hi-res issues with compatibility as an example. But we're
not privileged enough to know these little details.
Still I want to know what the big deal/advantage is to running
the VGA over the HDMI or Composite. I know the difference of
those two, if you have a decent HDTV with a proper HDMI
processor it's shoving raw data to the TV like mad, nearly taking
any thoughts of lag out. But some cheap chipsets and older
HDMI circuits/programming actually make it worse if the source
can shove pure HDMI down the pipe.
But VGA? At best that'd fall somewhere between Composite
and HDMI when hooked to a TV, we've had a few run that way
and the settings showed we were better with one designed for
a PC than a TV rigged as a monitor.
Inquiring minds wanna know, but you'd better get dressed
first because I pay my monthly donations to your cult for your
mind, not your body! <Grin>
