well, if his only reason to exchange was because of HDMI, wait a month and get the adapter, it's the easiest, fastest way, and won't have to worry about transferring his stuff

Not sure if a store like Gamestop would have a migration cable for you to transfer everything over while your there.  If not, I'm not sure what your options would be exect to buy the Elite, take it home and transfer (cable does not come in the box, must be ordered online) and then trade in afterwards.

 

The newer Premiums have HDMI also.

 

I don't think the 360 will ever have built in Blu-Ray, it'll probably be an add-on exactly like the HD-DVD drive.

Subject: [Xbox] Elite or Wait!!!

I am seriously thinking about trading in my Premium for the Elite,
but I have some questions to ask all who has the Elite.

How would I go about trading in my original Xbox360 to the Elite, but
maintain the games I have on the xbox 360?

Could I keep the 20 gb hd? Hmm...if I do this, then it would lessen
the value of my xbox360.  Right?

With the new tv, it has two hdmi ports.  Which is very nice features
to have, but can not use them.  Because my sbox 360 does not have
hdmi capabilities at all.  This is the main reason why I am thinking
of trading my xbox 360 for the Elite.

Does the Elite have the same issues as the xbox 360? Meaning RRoD
problem...

Since, HD-DVD is going out of style, I'm thinking. Why not wait until
they come out with either a dvd that is blu ray or something else?

As you can see, I have a lot to think about, but the components
cables are very very good on this tv.

If any of you have any suggestions, I am willing to hear it all out.
