As a sixty-four year old teenager myself, I can confidently say that
each and every one of us is rotten to the core. Gamers tend to have more
rebellious and competitive personalities anyway, and it all comes out in
a rush when we smell fresh meat. If you have the backbone to stick it
out, you'll learn something--otherwise, "have a nice day."

eBay/PayPal, etc. where there are protections in place. We hand our
credit cards to everybody in town, so there is little reason to think
