When I went from the 20GB stock to the 120GB it was MILES faster loading data.
Granted its a bit bogged down again now with so much junk on it, but I have a
hunch the stock HD is only 4200RPM 2MB cache but the 120GB is 5200RPM 8MB
cache.
I may be wrong, but I seem to recall I checked the model number of the 120GB
while I still had the transfer cable and it was a far higher spec than the
stock 20GB. Even if I am mistaken about those specs above its still most
certainly a faster model than the 20GB so that might help.
