Seems that you are neglecting to use the taxis.The taxis will take you there in an instant-Select destination and click "A". There are plenty of taxis-they are everywhere you look. If you and Roman are at buddy status, you can have a taxi by phoning him.

I may be the only one, but I think this game really drags compared to Vice City. Too much driving across town on errands, and die once and you start a 25 minute mission over from scratch. Plus, I sure hope the girlfriend thing turns into something more interesting. She's a p.i.t.a.
