Dave I basically can go no further than page 12 of the Adaptor Manual as it says go to the System Area to enter your network settings and this area is not even lit up allowing me access to it, it is grayed out and I can just barely read the words Wireless Mode -Network Name - "SSID" - Network Type - Wireless Security and all of them say "Not Set" . All of the basic settings above the Wireless Mode are darken in and are selectable. I cannot understand why the Wireless Mode settings are not high lighted so we can check and enter data.

 

As far as being out of range the Xbox is setting 28 inches from the Home Portal so this is not the case. How can I determine if the Home Portal is broadcasting a wireless network name SSID per page 14 of the manual.

Well I d/led the manual from Xbox.com and it's really, really basic so that
should help him give it a whirl for sure. But the 2Wire stuff can be a real
headache at times and I have a feeling we're down to settings and security
problems rejecting the connection. That manual also has some good
troubleshooting stuff for him to take a shot at too so hopefully it'll do the
trick!
