Actually, the biggest problem is watching movies as you can't hear the dialog
without risking the loud bits waking the neighbors.
HD-DVD/Blu-ray players yes they DO have fans, but I am pretty sure the Blu-ray
reader in my PC does not and it doubles as a DVD Writer. That said I guess
the 360 HD-DVD is 1st gen whereas the PC Blu-ray drive I think is 2nd gen.
The more accurate laser positioning system sure burns DVDs more reliably even
if is slower than my old DVD Writer. I prefer more reliable over speed any
day.
