Probably not. My 50" plasma uses about 850 watts, and you can feel the heat 3 feet away walking past it.

wow, I've never met someone so obsessed with how much electricity is being used in every single electronics toy. If he can afford the extra $2-3 a month to run the thing does it really matter?
