RE: [Xbox] Re: Connecting My Console To Xbox Live

So going from a 45ms to 47ms ping is noticeable?

Am not sure what XBL games you play, but if you don't think 2 ms can
be substantial, get on COD4 multiplayer and watch how you get your
ass handed to you every friggin time by giving your opponents a 2 ms
heads up every time. I do primarily use a wired connection to XBL and
even wireless controllers as I need all the help I can get. The fact
of the matter is, it might still just be a matter of perception on my
end (as I said before).

I live in Pleasant Valley - the sprawling metroplex of about 8,000
people (think we have more cows and horses than people) - New York,
but am very close (10 minutes) to Poughkeepsie read IBM Poughkeepsie.
Also, there is no doubt at all that Time Warner Cable's glass (fiber)
on the street is speedy (no, they'd never throttle bandwidth?!?!?!?),
but the cable wiring in this duplex could use some serious help (have
replaced some on my own, but much more than that wouldn't go
unnoticed).

Why are you so xenophobic? What do you have against Klingons or and-
rhoids from Uranus (oh, you're so clever you - didn't think anyone
would make the connection between "rhoids" as in hemorrhoids and
Uranus as you mistakenly pronounce as rhyming with "your anus" - what
a bright lad you are).

All kidding aside - what *does* impact your XBL performance (wired or
wireless)? It was common to hear others complaining that someone on
their home network was "surfing the net" (which we all know means
downloading porn or watching streaming vids) as having an impact on
game (primarily Halo2/3) performance.

Cheers - DrDenNet
Leave the Klingons at home, the Romulans are bringing ale.
